Madingley Nursery

Madingley

Imagine a picture-book Victorian schoolhouse, overlooking open fields and next door to woodlands. It’s idyllic – and it’s our lovely, rural site at Madingley.

Our approach to learning

At our Cambridge Madingley site we offer the following classes – Baby, Toddler, Rising three’s and Kindergarten.

In each class the children’s learning opportunities and experiences are aimed at developing the skills they need to be successful. Through having each of these classes in our early years provision we can plot a child’s learning journey knowing what they need in Reception and discovering how best to support them in achieving ‘school readiness’.

We think that life is an adventure and we help our boys and girls to embrace it with confidence, independence and joy. While our nursery at Madingley has its own unique personality and features, it shares the same commitment to play-based learning and development, the same approach to health and nutrition, and the same exceptional level of childcare as the other Stephen Perse Nurseries.

Children at Madingley forge a strong connection with nature and the environment thanks to the outdoor play areas and on-site Forest School. Combined with the beautiful buildings we occupy, it’s the perfect place for our nursery children to develop and learn.

Our location

Madingley is one of Cambridge’s most picturesque villages. Located on the western outskirts of the city, our small village sits close to the towns of Coton and Dry Drayton. There is plenty of free on-street parking along Cambridge Road for the morning drop-offs and afternoon pick-ups.
