Our approach to learning
At our Saffron Walden Dame Bradbury’s site we offer the following classes Baby, Toddler, Rising Three’s, Kindergarten and Reception.
In each class the children’s learning opportunities and experiences are aimed at developing the skills they need to be successful. Through having each of these classes in our early years provision we can plot a child’s learning journey knowing what they need in Reception and discovering how best to support them in achieving ‘school readiness’.
Every child that joins us takes an individual journey – we’re a warm and welcoming team who pride ourselves on getting to know every child and their family. While our nursery at Saffron Walden has its own unique personality and features, it shares the same commitment to play-based learning and development, the same approach to health and nutrition, and the same exceptional level of childcare as the other Stephen Perse Nurseries.
Our nursery at Saffron Walden is bright and spacious, with colourful indoor areas and exciting outdoor environments for sensory and physical play, including a garden area and an on-site Forest School.
Our location
Saffron Walden is in the Uttlesford district of Essex, England, 12 miles north of Bishop’s Stortford, 15 miles south of Cambridge and 43 miles north of London. It has a rich history – there’s been a school on our site since at least 1317 for example, when manuscripts show the existence of one Reginald, “Scholemaster of Walden”. Today, it’s the ideal spot for our children to learn and develop.
