Mrs Sarah Holyoake
Head of Early Years
“Young children are naturally curious. I believe it is our role as teachers to encourage their inquisitive nature in a school environment that allows them to explore, problem solve and take risks. I have taught in and led Early Years departments in both state and independent schools and I am passionate about children’s Early educational experiences. If we can give the children confidence, independence and maintain their natural curiosity, they will be well equipped for the next stop in their school experience.”
Miss Verity Brownbridge
Deputy Head of Early Years
Having worked for many years in both nursery and reception classes through to children aged 5-7, I believe that being at the start of a child’s lifelong journey of learning is very special.
Early years’ experiences should be happy, fun, active and secure. They lay the foundations for children’s ability to learn and develop social skills in the years that lie ahead. It is not only our little learners but adults too who are continually learning and I feel in a very privileged position, being able to support and help build a strong team of highly effective Early Years practitioners who really do make a difference to all children in our care.
