Early Years Fees at Saffron Walden – from 1 September 2023

The Stephen Perse Nursery at Saffron Walden provides daycare from 07.30 to 18.00, Monday to Friday, all year round. We are open all year round, except on the following dates when the nursery closes:
Nursery and Early Years
Full day, year round 07.30 – 18.00 Age 1-2 £85 per day
Full day, year round 07.30 – 18.00 Age 2-3 £83 per day
Full day, year round 07.30 – 18.00 Age 3-4 £75 per day
School day, term time 08.00 – 15.15 Reception £4,588 per term
Full day fees are worked out per day and apply all year round. Fees include full time day care from 07.30 to 18.00 as well as meals, milk, nappies and cream (as appropriate).
Kindergarten children are required to have a minimum of 3 sessions in a week. Each session is equivalent to one day. Term time only attendance is available for 3 – 4 year olds (further information on request from the admissions office). Children who attend Kindergarten classes are expected to be in attendance for the full core teaching hours of 08:30 -3:15.
Reception fees are for the school day, term time only and include lunch. This can be supplemented with wraparound care and holiday provision. Term time wrap around care is available for Reception children from 15.15-18.00 and is charged at £14.50 per day.
The Nursery and Early Years setting closes at 18.00; any charges that need to be made after this time will be charged at £10 per 10 minutes or part thereof.
Registration fee
The registration fee required at the time of submitting an application reflects the costs incurred by the Foundation in administering the admissions process before the offer of a place is made. This fee is non-refundable.

Acceptance fee
The acceptance fee is payable when an offer of a place is accepted by the parents and reflects the administrative costs incurred by the Foundation in preparing for new pupils to join the Foundation, including induction arrangements. This fee is non-refundable.

Refundable deposit
The deposit is payable when an offer of a place is accepted by the parents and is held as security by the Foundation. The deposit is refunded when the pupil leaves the Foundation, or in the event that the pupil fails to meet the entry requirements to join the Foundation, in accordance with the Foundation’s Parent Contract.

No hidden fees
We know how hectic life as a parent can be, so we’ve saved you the trouble of remembering the little things. We provide nappies, wipes and cream, as well as meals and milk throughout the day. No need to worry about additional costs – these are all on us. Our healthy eating menus include vegetarian options and are developed with the specific needs of toddlers and young children in mind.

Dame Bradbury’s closes at 18:00. A charge of £15 per 10 minutes or part thereof will be applied in situations where a child is collected after 18:00.
Peripatetic Music and Speech Lessons
Our students may hire instruments and can take part in music, speech and LAMDA lessons with individual members of the visiting music and other specialist staff. These are charged separately by the teacher directly to parents.
